Court copies · Chicago & the suburbs

You e-filed. The judge still wants paper.

Upload the file-stamped PDF, pick the courthouse, and Comet prints it, tabs it, binds it and drops the courtesy copies where the courtroom wants them — next business day, with photo proof of the drop-off. No local office, no FedEx run, no associate on the train.

    Questions attorneys ask

    Do you file the documents?

No. You e-file as usual. We handle the paper the judge still wants afterwards: we print the file-stamped copy, tab and bind it the way the standing order asks, and leave it where the courtroom wants it — the courtesy-copy bin, the courtroom deputy’s drop box, chambers or the clerk.

    How fast?

Orders placed by 4:00 PM Central on a business day are printed and delivered the next business day — by 10 AM, by noon or by 4 PM, your choice. Need it today? Call (312) 786-2288 and we’ll see what the day allows.

    What does it cost?

20¢ a page black and white, 75¢ a page color, $1 per tab, $5 per bound set, document preparation (collating, tabbing, binding, checking the set against the standing order) at $45 an hour in 15-minute increments, plus the delivery charge from our standard Chicago rate chart. The exact total shows before you place the order, and card orders are charged only after the drop-off.

    We’re not in Chicago.

That’s exactly who this is for. Upload from anywhere, pay by card, get a delivery notice with photo proof. No local office, no overnight envelope.

Does the judge even want paper?

Many don’t anymore — and some won’t accept it unless asked. Check the judge’s standing order (the Daley Center and the Northern District judges each post their own) and tick the box in the form. Trial binders, dispositive briefing with exhibits, Lake County and the Appellate Court are where paper still rules.

Can I get the printing done and have you pick it up somewhere else?

Yes — that’s our regular courier work. Get a same-day quote for a pickup from your office, home or a print shop, or call us.
