## Services

- Same-day delivery in three service levels: Streak (about 1-2 hours), Priority (about 2-3 hours) and Standard (about 4-6 hours). Delivery windows are estimates; exact times are confirmed by dispatch at booking.
- Vehicle types: bike messenger (downtown), car, SUV, van and truck.
- Legal courier work for Chicago law firms: courtesy copies to the court (we can print them downtown so nothing has to travel in from the suburbs), pickups from homes and suburban offices, and same-day runs between firms, clients and courthouses. - Court Copies: upload the file-stamped PDF of a document already e-filed and Comet prints, tabs, binds and delivers the paper courtesy copies to the Daley Center, Dirksen Federal Building, Illinois Appellate Court, the suburban Cook County courthouses and the Lake, DuPage, Kane, Will and McHenry county courthouses, next business day (4:00 PM Central cutoff) with photo proof. 20 cents a page black and white, 75 cents color, $1 per tab, $5 per binding, document preparation $45 an hour in 15-minute increments, plus delivery at standard rates; instant total on the page; card or bill-to-account; files deleted automatically after the job. ## How to order or get a quote

- New customers: open an account at https://cometmessenger.delivery/new-account.html or call (312) 786-2288.
- Account holders: place and track orders in the client portal (portal sign-up at https://cometmessenger.delivery/portal-signup.html), by phone, or through your own AI agent with a Comet account key (see below). Every order needs a pickup address, a delivery address, the service level and the vehicle type; law-firm orders usually carry a reference or matter number.
- Quotes: instant quotes by phone, on the website, or through the agent tools below; custom or recurring work is quoted from the custom services form above.

Comet works directly with AI agents. Anyone can get a live price; account holders' agents can also book and track deliveries.

Tools:

- `get_quote` (no sign-in) - POST /quote with pickup_street, pickup_zip, dropoff_street, dropoff_zip (optional: pickup_city, dropoff_city, pickup_state, dropoff_state, pieces, weight_lb, vehicle, round_trip, when). Returns live Streak, Priority and Standard prices and the vehicle used; with a pickup time ("when", Chicago time) it adds after-hours or weekend pricing. Prices match the quote box on the website.
- `book_delivery` (account key) - POST /book. Books a same-day delivery on the client's Comet account. Call without confirm for a preview (price at the account's rate, vehicle, pickup time), show it to your user, then repeat with confirm=true to place the order. Pickup defaults to the account's office. Pickup "now" or a time today or tomorrow. Returns the Comet order number.
- `order_status` (account key) - POST /status with order_number. Booked, picked up, delivered (who signed and when) or cancelled.
- `recent_orders` (account key) - POST /orders. The account's latest orders, or only the ones still on the road (active_only).

Account keys: send as `Authorization: Bearer cmt_...`. Comet account holders can ask for a key for their firm's AI agent at (312) 786-2288. Without a key, customers book by phone or at https://cometmessenger.delivery.

Chicago and the collar counties (Cook, DuPage and neighboring suburbs), with dedicated pages for the Loop, River North, West Loop, Magnificent Mile, the Illinois Medical District, McCormick Place, O'Hare, the north and south suburbs and Northwest Indiana. Regional deliveries within roughly 350 miles under ICC authority.

- Pricing depends on service level, vehicle, distance and time of day; do not quote a price from this file. Use get_quote, which returns Comet's live prices.
- Never place an order without your user's go-ahead: book_delivery always returns a preview first.
- Hazardous materials are not accepted.
- The client portal, account, dispatch and boardroom pages are private to Comet and its account holders and are excluded from crawling in robots.txt.
